Kapuas Hulu Rivers, West Kalimantan : Into The Dayak's Territory



Kapuas Hulu is a regency in the eastern part of West Kalimantan, where the upstream of Kapuas River, the longest river in Indonesia, is located. Creeks, like Utik and Embaloh, empty at the Kapuas River. Up the stream, these creeks directly border with the betung Kerihun National Park, not far from Putussibau, the Kapuas Hulu capital. Kapuas Hulu (Upper Kapuas River) is a regency of West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The region is the home to a diversity of indigenous groups, including the Iban and the Silat. Towns along the Kapuas River include Sintang, Nanga Lebang, Nanga Ketungau, Nanga Silat, Semitau, Nanga Bunut, and Putussibau. The population of the regency was 221,952 at the 2010 Census.

Mount Penanggungan, East Java : Immortality of The Magical Mountain


 Mount Penanggungan is a small stratovolcano, located immediately on the north side of Arjuno-Wilerang volcanic complex in East Java province, Java island, Indonesia. Historical remain scattered across the slopes of Mount Penanggungan, most come from the Hindu-Buddhist civilization dating back to the 10th-16th centuries A.D. Back then, the mountain was called Pawitra. One of the oldest remains, the Jalatunda bath, is estimated to date back to 977 A.D. Situated on the slope of Penanggungan, the bath water is believed to grant immortality.

Asinan Jakarta



This refreshing, melting pot of flavors that is believed to have originated in the beginning of the 20 th century among Chinese immigrant societies in Indonesia. Raw vegetables and fruit area soaked in vinegar and salt, than sprinkled with fried peanuts and served with crunchy noodie crakers, lending richness of texture to Asinan Betawi. Kerinci Seblat National Park, Sumatra : Sumatra's Natural Heritage



Straddling across four province - West Sumatra, Jambi, Bengkulu and South Sumatra the vast Kerinci Seblat National Park is the pride of Andalas. It is a prized natural heritage, the largest national park in Sumatra. This conservation area secures a larger section of Bukit Barisan, extending across 13.791 Km2. Mount Kerinci, the highest peak in Indonesia at the height of 3,805 meters above sea level looms over the park alongside the highest caldera lake in Southeast Asia known as Tujuh Mountain Lake. At an elevated height of 1, 995 meters above sea level, the lake is surrounded by primeval rainforest and seven hills making it the perfect setting for the natural habitat of various wildlife such as the hornbill, drongo and broad billed bird.

Weh Island : An Underwater Paradise on Kilometer Zero



Bathed in the water of the Andaman sea, Weh Island stretches 15 kilometer long on the northern tip of Sumatra. Its terrain hilly and its shores adorned by lush coral reefs. Weh is surrounded by four islets, namely, Klah, Rubiah, Seulako and Rondo. Of the four, Rubiah is the one famous as a diving spot featuring corals view. Introduction : Papua




Papua is Indonesia's easternmost region which borders Papua New Guinea and one of the last wild places in the world.
